Overview of the Archiv für Filmkunde, created in 1929, as an expansion of the graphics collection of the Nationalbibliothek, Vienna, called the first scholarly library to include cinema in its mandate. Article mentions its broad collection policy, including films, stills, manuscripts, posters, intertitles, censorship records, etc. Article focuses on the development of a cataloguing system that is partly new, partly building on existing systems. Discussions are going on with the Istituto per la Cinematografia Educativa, Rome, about publishing a catalog, although to date with no results.
