Note Article about the police training school where, in 1923, its then commander created an in house cinema. Originally conceived as a makeshift teaching aid for the training of young police officers, it soon became a veritable Film- und Lichtbildstelle and a site of learning for the entire school corps. Over time equipment was improved to the extent that new sound films could be projected, too. This was financed by the net proceeds of films produced in-house and exhibited in commercial cinemas for the entire police corps.
