Educational Film Practice
in Austria

This website provides access to the findings of a research project on educational film in Austria between 1918 and 1970. The project was funded by FWF – Austrian Science Fund (P 32343-G) and conducted in 2019–2023 at University of Vienna and the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Digital History, Vienna. The Database and Media Collection on this website documents our research concerning individual films, but also people, organizations, venues, texts and image objects. It is meant to stimulate further investigations into the history of educational media, as well as to grow with additional information.
